The 2007 Write It Now! Competition is now closed. We will post the W.I.N.NERS here on July 1, 2007.
Grand Prize: $250, 2008 Children's Writers and Illustrator's Market edited by Alice Pope, Picture Writing by Anastasia Suen, and a plaque or trophy with a certificate, plus your W.I.N.NING entry will be sent to at least one publisher for review (we've been known to send them to several).
First Prizes for Each Category: $100, 2008 CWIM, Picture Writing, and a certificate.

Young Adult: Printz Honor Author Terry Trueman
Midgrade: Prolific novelist and midgrade series writer Kathleen Duey
Picturebook: Verla Kay, author of a dozen great historical picture books, children's writing advocate, honcho of the famous "Blue Board," and creator of cryptic rhyme
Poetry: Award-winning poet and picture book author Marilyn Singer
Non-fiction (added by request): Kelly Milner Halls , author of over twenty books for young readers
Illustration: Scott Piehl, Art Director at Sterling Publishing
